Our first competition for this year is Saturday in Pearland!  Go Band!

 

Please see fundraising opportunities below, these are great ways to help earn money for the band.  Everyone loves pizza -  so plan your pizza eating schedule J around TWHS Band Night at Double Daves!

 

If you have not already done so, please volunteer to work at Lonestar.  We (TWHS Band) are the hosts for this competition and need all the volunteers possible to make it run smooth and prove what a great host we are!

Dan and Jeannette are looking for an adult that would be willing to coordinate the food orders for our band for Lone Star Preview.  Please contact Jeanette at home at 936-321-5725 or on her cell at 936-443-1108.

 

We now have 23 bands scheduled to attend this year's Lonestar Preview Contest!!!  With that amount of bands, we are going to need to be heavy on adult volunteers for the morning shift (from 8am-11:00am).  Remember, the kids will be in a marching clinic with the directors and judges.  If you haven't already signed up and can help, please contact Dan or Jeannette Lemieux at lonestar @twhsband.com

A BIG, BIG thank you to all my Spirit Committee members who were able to come on Wed and put together 290 goody bags for Homecoming.  You guys are AWESOME!  Thanks to those who also decorated the goody bags!  We will be getting ready for our next big projects, San Antonio goody bags and Indy.  For those events, we are in need of the following items: 

  • Individual Swiss Miss Hot Chocolate packets (No marshmallows)
  • Individual chips
  • Individual Apple Cider packets
  • Individual Instant Chicken Soup packets
  • Fruit by the Foot

All items can be left in the director's office marked Spirit Committee.  I will need them by Oct. 20

 

Merchandise – one last chance to order parent shirts

 

For those of you who missed the chance to order a parent polo shirt or hat earlier this year there is going to be one last chance to place an order.  Our supplier has reduced the requirements for the minimum quantity and we would like to give everyone this opportunity to order these items now.  Please note that this offer is only available for a limited time and, as such, all orders are due to us no later than the end of band on this Friday, October 5.

 

The latest information we have on the Show Shirts is that they are to ship to us by this coming Thursday.  A note will be sent out informing you of when they will be delivered.  Pajama bottoms and letter jacket patches will be distributed at the same time as the Show Shirts.

Double Daves Fundraiser

Every 1st and 3rd Tuesday of each month will be TWHS Band night at Double Daves.  They have 2 locations, one on Research Forest and one in Indian Springs shopping Center.  We will be receiving flyers and will pass them out each day.  Coupon must be presented at time of purchase, dine in, carry out or delivery.  Double Daves will give 20% back to the band.
