| UPDATE on Megan
Litterer's Condition
July 15th,
Dear Past and Present Band
Members
In case you are unaware, on
Wednesday morning Megan Litterer
(2006 TWHS graduate – drum major/flute soloist) was involved in
a serious car accident here in The Woodlands. Megan is in
stable condition in the ICU Neurology department at Memorial
Herman Hospital (medical center). Bruce and
Jerilynn have been staying nearby in
a hotel.
Please keep Megan and her
family in your prayers.

July 16th
Megan is slowly but continually improving. She answered her
Mom today, which no doubt moved her parents to tears!
Keep the prayers coming for all
involved in the accident. At this time, Megan is only allowed
family visitors and no flowers/balloons etc. are allowed in ICU.
Cards can be mailed to the Litterer home:
48 Fallshire
The Woodlands, TX 77381
Thanks to everyone who has
responded with their support, it is very much appreciated!

The prayers are
working. . . . .keep them coming!
Yesterday they strapped Megan in a wheelchair for 2 hours which
requires advanced use of the brain. She has begun to respond to
a few questions and seems to be aware of things around her.
When Jerilynn told Megan that Mr. J
(the most incredible band director at TWHS) was in the waiting
room, Megan began to conduct music with her feet! WOW!!!!!!!!!!
Megan has been moved to a smaller pod, still in ICU but with a
TV for stimulation. The Litterers are now able to bring in a few
familiar things for her...pictures, a special pillow...

For those of you who have
access to Face Book, Megan's friends (Jenna, Brittany, Megan,
and Brent) have set up a Group Profile called "Pray for Meggie"
where they keep everyone informed on how she is doing.
Yesterday's post says Megan has had a couple of somewhat rough
days. The doctors have been taking her off her pain
medication and she is realizing it. Great news is that she
is responding to commands! Megan was able to brush her
teeth which is super. She sat up on her own and tracked
with her eyes. She's improving and getting better and
better every day! All of your prayers are not going to
waste.

August 3rd
For those of you who are not in
the “facebook” loop, Megan is making great progress in her
recovery. She is now at TIRR (The Institute of
Rehabilitation and Research), 4th in the Nation for head
injuries. Megan is working with therapists up to 8 hours a
day! Visitors are being limited due to over stimulation and
stress. If you want to visit, please contact Jerilyn or
Bruce. Megan is able to carry on conversations, feed and
bath herself, and read many of her get well cards. Please
keep this family and the other families involved in this
accident in your continued thoughts and prayers. It will be
wonderful when Megan can be moved to The Woodlands!
